Nils joined Candover in 1999 from Arther Andersen where he spent a year in the transaction support department after qualifying as a chartered accountant. Nils holds dual British and German nationality and has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.

During his time at Candover, Nils has been responsible for the buyouts of Aspen Insurance, Wellstream, Vetco International, Bureau van Dijk and Qioptiz. In addition, Nils sits on a number of the Boards of Candover portfolio companies.
